Desma Johnson
Desma Johnson has been playing the piano since age 5 and accompanying choirs and soloists since age 12. She received her bachelors degree in Piano Performance from Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina and has taught chorus, piano, and show choir in Florida and California public schools. For over 20 years she has been working as accompanist and music director with local theaters across the peninsula including Pacific Repertory Theater, Western Stage and MPC. She is also the former music director of the Monterey Peninsula Choral Society and St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Monterey. Currently she teaches Spanish at Pacific Grove High School.
